    Miss G. ;)

    Love your very touching story.

I know a dog named Lucy also, one of our "granddogs"- our older son changed the original name of his rescue dog to Lucy.

Being the single intellectual in a village of 1,100 souls ain't much fun, especially when 1,099 of those don't think you're all that smart.--Lucy Marsden

    •  Thanks. Miss G was a character. (0+ / 0-)

I was a poor student in high school. Smart enough, just never cared for the structure of it all.

I had a pickup truck and Miss G needed some yard work done. We talked, her yard stayed clean and I passed her class.

Mr. Laffey (American history) wanted lobsters, Mr. Manzo (physics) liked clams, Mr. Derobbio didn't like seafood/fish but loved basketball so my passing algebra grade resting on my ability to make a shot into the trash can from the back of the room.  Swish!

A parent would cringe today, but for me, it worked.

religion is the smile on a dog...
