    wants to make sure that special interests don't step up and pay their fair share.  

    Soak the middle class and collect wealthy friends to take  care of you on the other side of the revolving door.

      This may seem counter-intuitive, but employers get the most productivity out of workers in their mid-40's. After that, employees often cost more than what the employers get out of them. The ADEA was put in place to prevent employers from getting rid of employees after their peak productivity declines. If they raise the SS and Medicare age, employees are more likely to work for more years after their peak productivity, when employers would prefer that they retire so they can bring in someone younger and cheaper.

      Maybe it's worth reaching out to some more Democratic-leaning employers to make this case.
