are winnable near term in a wave or even a non-wave in an open seat scenario.

More damage to be done in CA as well, where McKeon, Valadao, and the odious Issa all need to have there bells rung by strong candidates in their bluing districts.  We should keep going after Denham as well.

I could not for the life of you say who dems should recruit to run in this district.  I would assume someone from the SD portion of the district, and being that I'm from the OC portion, I have no knowledge of ANY city council members or Mayors that  could be recruited.

It would seem like Oceanside Mayor, Jim Wood and Councilmember Esther Sanchez are dems (well, Sanchez was endorsed by the SD Dems, and she held fundraisers with Wood), though local politics are odd, and alliances are sometimes formed by those that should be ideological opponents.

Regardless, Oceanside is the largest city in the district, and if we were to pick a top tier candidate, it would likely come from there, as the assembly doesn't have many good options for us.
