    do not have defined borders?

Wouldn't a state of Palestine still be de facto designated with an  asterisk until it achieves having such borders?

I believe a long term peace can only come about through the political process of the states signing a treaty together.

I hope this speeds that process but I do not know if it will.

Israel's Government has implemented building settlements which physically obstruct the possibility for a two-state solution, and which they promised the U.S. they would not do literally just last week. Analysts on both sides are saying that Israel is asserting a one-state status in this move, and that is not something that bodes well.

I can't believe they did that. The U.S. has (today) condemned this move and stated that it would be the death knell for a two-state solution.

It renders this whole conversation basically moot when a Government acts in retaliation outside of the will of larger world powers. This is really disappointing to me.

ISRAEL doesn't have defined borders, or haven't you noticed? But I guess Israel is special.
