    not only the discoveries themselves, but - the McDonald Observatory. I took all the astronomy for liberal arts majors I could at UT -- the only reason I stopped was that all the classes left involved actual math. Anyway, these are very cool discoveries.

      to the McDonald Observatory every chance we could - even though it's a 1000 mile round trip.  Lots of spring breaks there and a couple of summer trips.  They loved the Star Night parties and waiting their turn to look through the "real" telescopes.

      We started when they were 7 and 10 and even then, they asked questions of the UT students who were presenting the program.  It's one of our favorite memories.

      We need to go back there again, even without kids.  ;)
