The sky has been falling on Education in Michigan for over 10 years. Republicans and Democrats working in cohoots, worked on the failed experiment from 1999 and beyond to "save" D.P.S. and other minority populated school districts..."from themselves" so to speak, and failed.

Politicians of all stripes and party affiliation in Lansing since 1999 have worked to divide public school districts on a sudo-based segmentation model (addressed in the article above). Residents have fell for this lock, stock and barrel by in many cases agreeing with a Lansing "take over" of D.P.S.

Meanwhile, what nearly all residents of Michigan have failed to understand is the "take over" model was not MEANT to stop at Detroit and later Benton Harbor, Muskegon, Inkster along with other high minority populated districts. Instead, the ultimate plan was FULL TAKEOVER of Free Public Education in Michigan for "for-profit Incorporated model for sale to the higher bidder" with all P.S. (Public Schools) in the state.

This is the shorten version of what happened and the reason why Michigan's Children rights to a Free Public Education is threaten, right now.
