Since they ran on the fact that Obama cut $716 billion from Medicare, shouldn't they now give him credit for already making cuts?

Shouldn't they now be able to state that President has agreed to over $1 trillion in entitlement cuts already ($716 billion + $400 billion in the proposal given to Boehner this week)?

They shouldn't be allowed to have it both ways...  Just saying.

Until Boehner or McConnell come clean with exactly what they want to cut from Medicare, or how they want to screw today's workers by forcing them to stick with private insurance for a few more years as the eligibility age is increased, the Democrats should just point the finger at them as say "we're all ears".  They've been playing Santa Claus since Reagan, handing out tax cuts, but only talking vaguely about shrinking government.  Let them put their "principles" out there for all to hear.  Ayn Rand is dead and buried, so there will be no one to cheer for them and their constituents will finally wake up and say WTF!

      •  Reagan Never Ever Proposed a Balanced Budget (0+ / 0-)

We can never forget that in eight years, Reagan never, ever proposed a balanced budget.  The Republicans have always used the excuse that the Democratic-controlled Congress never sent a balanced budget to the President for signature, but they remain very quiet that he and his team never once sent a balanced or surplus budget up to the Hill for consideration.  Well, times have changed.  Cough up specific details or forever get branded a deficit peacock - all display and no substance.
