    The CBO estimates that, come 2020, each person using an exchange will cost the government $9,000.

    Given that ranges for medicare back in 2008 ran from $6000 to $15000 (Hennipin County, MN to McAllen, TX) or so, it's hard to say.

    Of course -- the CBO estimate surely assumed that 65+ people were on Medicare, and that the cost of coverage would not reflect the cost of treating a relatively expensive elderly demographic.
