  •  Yep. However, you'd be surprised (or maybe not (5+ / 0-)

    if you're from around here) how extremely conservative the right wingers are who live here. They feel kind of hopeless in elections, but aren't at all shy expressing their views. It's a mostly rural county after all, even if it votes like an urban demographic. Our population is exceptionally diverse. We get along though.

      but went to the islands a couple times. The people there are very friendly (like a small town, but not like a Rush Limbaugh small town). The marijuana vote and the LGBT marriage vote were a little bit higher than Obama. So, apparently, a few people voted for Romney, but voted for gay marriage and legalized pot.
