    Apart from possibly the blockade?

    Can't have the US Post Office because you aren't part of the US anymore.

    Road blocks on any road crossing the state border, because congratulations that just became an international border.

    Private aircraft near the border? Those are foreign aircraft next to an international border now.

    And that's IF secession was finalized AFTER a starter treaty was already negotiated. Bordering nation with whom we'd have no formal diplomatic status AT ALL?

    And that's if there were NO hard feelings about the entire process on either side.

    It's like they think they'd be treated better than the Canadian border was pre-9/11, instead of worse than Mexico is now.
