    here (or am I mistaken about that) they tend to fire coaches willy nilly and randomly to bring their own people in.   The spoils of getting the job, really.

      I follow college sports fairly closely, and firing coaches who have just led their teams to a 25-6 record in any sport does NOT happen a lot. In fact, absent a scandal, it's almost unheard of for an AD to fire a coach with that kind of record.

      If he's just cleaning house, someone will be able to defend him by pointing to the many other coaches being removed.  I don't know about turnover, but if someone could point to a number of winning, popular straight coaches being fired you could probably prove he is only a moron and not a bigot.  I strongly suspect there is not a lot of turnover and indeed a number of less successful coaches have nothing to fear.
