I think his goals for the show are ambitious and he often reaches them. He is prone to on-the-other-handism when dealing with guests like David Frum (why?), which I hope doesn't become habitual. I'm an unrepentant class warrior and not a big fan of "niceness" for it's own sake.

He does remind me at times of the very bright and funny son of an English professor friend of mine... sometimes a bit too anxious to be well thought of... when he is already very well thought of. Rachel is more seasoned in that respect, but not necessarily better for that.

I think Chris is bright, goodhearted, and solidly on the left. His show is frequently remarkable, both for the issues chosen and the level of discourse. I also like Rachel. Ed, Lawrence, Martin, and Cenk and Spitzer on Current have their moments, although I don't have time to watch them regularly. I do watch four hours of Up! every weekend, minus a few commercials and annoying gasbaggery from the likes of Frum.
