    on 1 December??  Wow!  I went to school at Northern in Aberdeen back in the mid-60s.  By the first of December temps were always subfreezing and we usually had 8 or 10 inches of snow on the ground.  And on 23 October, 1973, we buried my grandmother in a nasty snowstorm in West River SD (For non-South Dakotans that means "west of the Missouri").  These warm temps sound utterly bizarre to me.  Amazing.  And damned spooky....
