    Congressman John Lewis wasn't "shouted down". The assembly simply didn't suspend the order of business to allow him to speak immediately. I think that was a mistake but it wasn't anything like your mis-characterization.

    Moreover, Congressman Lewis didn't share your attitude about it. I know because I had the opportunity to discuss it with him briefly. He had nothing but positive things to say about the occupy movement and expressed absolutely no resentment over the actions of the Atlanta assembly.

    I don't think this justifies the Assembly's action but it certainly doesn't support using the incident as an excuse for condemning the Occupy movement. That would put you at odds with Congressman Lewis, whose treatment supposedly contributed to your disaffection.

    Nothing human is alien to me.
