      "Made in America" goods.

      After Sam Walton died, and the increased drive for greater profits and more rapid expansion, they started more and more selling cheaper imported goods.  But they didn't drop the "Made in America" slogans simultaneously.  Caused quite a bit of a stink when it was revealed more and more of their stuff was from China.

      But that "Made in America" thing is still in the back of some longer term customers' minds and they think Walmart is a decent place.
