    The U.S. is still a massive polluter. The U.S. has the 12th highest per capita carbon emissions in the world http://en.wikipedia.org/... . That's you and me. China is #78. If there were a referendum tomorrow choosing between cutting emissions & cutting economic growth vs. keeping the status quo, the statuo quo would win in a landslide. I don't think we've "learned" anything. Quite to the contrary, we're "teaching" the world how to behave, and the Chinese are the ones who are learning - from us.
