  •  The 50% "cut" in prices for drugs for seniors (10+ / 0-)

that hit the donut hole in Medicare Part D is such complete nonsense it pisses me off that we have people that stupid who fell for it.

50% off WHAT!  JHC, the year after Medicare Part D was passed drugs went up 17% . They continued to hit double digit price increases almost every year after.

Did anyone actually think that the prices would be any better than a furniture store who advertises 50% off EVERYTHING MUST GO . Imagine , if you will a furniture store salesman, in a green leisure suit, with huge white collars and gold chains with shirt open half way down, white belt , white shoes, white poodle and a white cadillac. This guy is more trustworthy than the people who run drug companies.

We know the banks are law breakers. We also know the Drug companies regularly break laws. The DOJ got some decent fines out of three in the last few years totaling 5.4 Billion and even had the execs plead to misdemeanors (HAHAHA, the crimes were felonies)  The one that I followed at Abbott Labs, Miles White, got a massive comp package the year he plead guilty to pushing patented drugs for purposes not approved by the FDA that pushed him into the top 20 highest compensated CEOs.

This company that has been around for almost 100 years saw tangible equity go negative that year. But the 4 Billion a year profits lifted them slowly out of the hole. These people regularly break the law, they have no ethics, they must have laughed themselves silly when Obama fell for the 50% discount. It's so bad that the administration bragged about savings of over 6.1 Billion dollars.

    Ok, off of what?

Anyone who falls for the percentage off sales scam , has spent no time in the real world. As someone who came from Sales and Marketing, this scheme is used so regularly that it had lost all meaning by the time President Obama agreed to it. No one falls for that anymore. Except those in Govt who have no concept how the real world works.
