us boring White folk, it's hard to know what our ancestry is.  My mom was born in Colorado, adopted by my grandmother from England.  Supposedly my mom's biological parents were German and Swedish, but who knows?  She was born in 1965, part of the Baby Scoop to a girl who was 16 at the time, and probably gave a fake name since the adoption was said to be "closed" so nobody could unseal the records.  My paternal side is another who the hell knows, because my last name is a very common English last name that came into existence in 14th century England.

Maybe one day DNA testing will become super cheap so they'll just test you and tell you what genetic markers you have to indicate what populations copulated to produce YOU.  One can dream.
