    And you're right, Hayes would never talk to a guest like Bartlett did on Saturday's show.

      something about you have to cut spending now because otherwise you'll have to raise taxes later, but you can't raise taxes now?

      It was gobbledygook.

      Unlike Conrad, who at least is coherent, even though it's just one basic argument -- US low tax policies have coincided with the US having twice the growth rate of Europe and Japan over 25 years.

      Interestingly, I didn't hear great responses to that from Hayes or the others, except that Clinton raised taxes and the economy boomed in the '90s.

      I'd like to see a more substantive rebuttal, which I think would be something like what good is growth if it hasn't resulted in higher living standards for most of the people in the country.  But there must be other more detailed factors involved to rebut Conrad.  (like from Prof. Krugman).
