Present or just not showing up? It would be hard for Boehner to complain about the Dems Present vote on the Sunday talk shows when his people did the same thing. Let them take a stand -- vote in the tax cut or vote against it, but VOTE. Why should Dems let them take the gutless way out?

    •  I would LOVE to see the middle class tax cuts (5+ / 0-)

      with only Democratic votes.

Economics is a social *science*. Can we base future economic decisions on math?

But the Republicans are finding a method that they don't have to deal with extending unemployment or cuts or anything else -- and then they'll run on the idea the Dems raised taxes [on the top 2%].

I just hate seeing Team Crazy find a way to sidestep the hard stuff.

"Present" and the one or two Independents voting "Yeah"?  Oh, that's right, the Independents are over in the Senate where they've already held the vote (and no I wouldn't want to see Lieberman and Sanders have the power to determine the fate of the tax cuts.  Lieberman, in what might be his last vote in the Senate ever, might just vote "Nay".
