MRobDC -- I don't think that stands for direct current. Listening to anyone from DC is a mistake. We tell DC what to think, they don't tell us.

      a 62-38 district and we'll talk.

And what's with hating people that live in DC? We're people too Dana

Without representation. That's very King George for the rest of us.

Anyway. We won districts like that in 2006. It's easy to run the numbers up to 60s in a presidential election where rural whites go all out for the republican. MO wasn't a swing state and democrats didn't show up.

If we can get a real idiot teabagger against us and repub turnout is depressed by their feeble idiot effort in congress, this is winnable in a low turnout special election with the right candidate.

The repub party is dying and needs our help to get there faster.

Yeah, a couple of such districts were won in 2006 or 2008, for one or two terms. What's your evidence that there is a tremendous Democratic wave now?

We had a great year for democrats. But democrats in red districts were hampered by presidential politics much more than in 2008.

We now have an open seat, Obama have hopefully delivered a middle class tax cut and an even better economy in a couple of months.

But we should fight for this seat like it is a wave. Just in case it is.

And I think a democrat is good in any seat, even for just one term.
