    I do think the fact that the "token black man" gets killed just when another black man arrives is very suspicious.  I don't understand why they insist on doing things that way, nor do I understand why T-Dog got so little character development.  There is major room for improvement there.  

    But other than that I don't think the shows portrayal of characters has been racist.  

    You're reading too much into events.  The reason Rick is suspicious of Michone is because he barely knows her and she disappeared while they were in Woodbury and he didn't know what she was doing.  Rick is the ostensible leader of his group, albeit a shitty one, so that's why she defers to his authority.  If she wasn't willing to do that, she'd have to just go off on her own, which she has apparently decided not to do.  

    Let's be honest, someone can look at a story with strong black characters who are smart, in control and benevolent, and criticize the show for being racist.  They'll just say that the story is depicting black people as being demigods instead of a real people with flaws.  If you want to read something into a story then you almost always can.
