    "In regards to Michione, I don't think any of the treatment directed towards her by the characters is racist, rather I think the writers depiction of Michione is along the lines of their treatment of the black male characters.  She does not express emotions; she is a bit untrustworthy (though deep down good-hearted); she is not a leader; she has no sexual interests, and is only portrayed in a sort of weird-eroticism.  "

    This is a type of racism and is rooted in racist understandings of black personhood and presumptions about the centrality of whiteness.

    racism is not hoods and sheets. racism is a matrix of power that is multifaceted.

      reaction towards Michione is racist.  I acknowledged the writers treatment of black characters is prejudiced.
