    England didn't ship the USA their cannon after the Revolutionary War.

    Nope, all that would be Property of the US Government.  Military installations would pack up and leave just like they would do from a hostile foreign nation.

    These nuts want to do it all with small government...then let them start from scratch.  They can start hoarding their weaponry now.  

    I'd be very curious to see what happens with that experiment.

      Much of what's on military installations can be packed up and removed. Indeed, IIRC, in the last months of the war in Iraq, a huge proportion of American troops were assigned to packing for the move.

      Beyond military possessions, though, military bases have all kinds of buildings, hangars, and other facilities, and lots of infrastructure like roads and runways.

      So should all of this be flattened and taken to the dump? Or what?
