    totally awesome and in command. That BEGS for a Bloomberg put down, something like, "Are you freaking kidding me? Mayor?"

    To me progress is not so much a goal as it is a process and I believe it will not follow a straight course. Remember, the drops of water that form the river may not take the shortest path but they will still reach the ocean.

      ...as some kind of de facto foreign policy or otherwise international job, but you'll notice that nobody who says that has any real foreign policy or otherwise international experience.

        Indeed no sitting or former mayor has been elected to another public office since Ardolph Loges Kline (acting mayor in late 1913) was re-elected Alderman in 1913 and later elected in 1920 to his only term in Congress.
        On the other hand, no woman has been mayor of NYC, ever. That definitely needs to change. But I don't see Hillary being the one to do that.
