    for boys to cook besides showing them in ads for cooking items?  Be born into an Italian family.

    It's common for boys in Italian-American homes to grow up helping out in the kitchen, and then outright taking over for the parents if they're late in coming home, etc. My father did a lot of the cooking in our house when my mother started working. (I preferred his cooking!)

    I started making my own lunches when I was in elementary school, then about the age of twelve or thirteen I was throwing together pasta sauces, making meatballs, etc.
    No problem. Guys who look helpless in the kitchen always draw weird looks from me.
