  •  I worked for corporate America (10+ / 0-)

when the Americans with Disabilities Act was passed.  We were sent to seminars on compliance.  The questions were not, 'what can we do to make our workplace more accessible?'  The questions were, 'what is the absolute minimum we have to do to not get in trouble?'  Surrounded by a lot of whining about costs and political correctness.

So, in 22 years nothing has changed for the monied class.
For all that they scream about 'rights' they really only care about themselves; everyone else can take a flying f--- at the moon.

20+ years later, especially in retail; going out shopping with my mother-in-law is an adventure, trying to maneuver the wheelchair around clothing racks and floor displays.
