Given Bush's disdain for the Constitution and the corruption of his underlings, there were certainly grounds.

More than lying about a blow job, for certainty.

I don't think it would have been good for the country, or even good for the Democrats, but don't be silly.  A case could have been made, and a pretty strong one at that.

    •  Again, give specifics (0+ / 0-)

"disdain for the constitution" - please show me how this is an impeachable offense.

"corruption of his underlings" - same thing

If you are not prepared to make a specific charge, with facts and evidence that can be brought to convict him in impeachment, then it's a fool's errand.

      •  Torture, for god's sake (0+ / 0-)

Torture is illegal and has been for years.  Breaking the law is an impeachable offense.  There's a reason that the administration argued that water boarding wasn't torture, and it wasn't for shits and giggles.  We had proof that they were water boarding and we had executed Japanese officers for torturing Americans in the same way.  This isn't hard.  Bush was responsible for torture.  He knew about it and joked about it.  It's a fucking joke that only 4 years later so many people have forgotten that.

The revolution will not be televised. But it will be blogged, a lot. Probably more so than is necessary.
