  •  when we decided to buy a house I bought a (6+ / 0-)

    membershup ar Experian and checked weekly for a year.  every week i had to fight to correct another inaccuracy, for a year.

    Credit reporting long ago became a racket and they should be open to defamation suits for inaccurate reporting

      Wow. Every week? An error EVERY week? (And if you were exaggerating, I'd still be surprised at one every two weeks, or even one a month.)

      I mean, I've certainly known people with problems, and had one or two myself, but that many things cropping up is pretty damn unusual.

      (and I don't know if this is still true) but at least in the past the exercise of checking your credit in and of itself lowers your credit score.

      liberal bias = failure to validate or sufficiently flatter the conservative narrative on any given subject

        All three of my credit reports (with score)  get pulled every month. No effect.
