    ...firm, that had 8.5 hour days. They got in trouble with the DoL for that, and I recived a check from them for back overtime pay about a year after I left their employ. I worked for two other consulting firms with 8 hour days, and my final employer, the City of Chicago, had me working 7 hour days. At my hourly rate, an 8 hour day would be something approaching 108K, versus the 94K I earned working for the City. Of course, as a private consultant I wouldn't have had to deal with either the public, or the local politicians.

    The WSJ can live in their little bubble, and continue to play all of us unwitting workers against each other, per their lord and master Murdoch the Merciless.
