    (Bad Stuff™).

He's probably the biggest threat we face in '16, IMHO.

Happy little moron, Lucky little man.

    •  I give Christie a lot more thought then Marky-Mark (3+ / 0-)

At least if Christie loses some weight, that is. He needs the Huckabee Diet before he gets serious about running.

But Rubio? Empty suit. If anything, he comes off to me like another John Edwards, including some shady stuff in his background (the man is a close associate with disgraced and soon to be former Rep. David Rivera).

      •  Christie won't get backing of the GOP. Rubio could (1+ / 0-)

and therein lies the rub... if a sufficiently conservative, BRIGHT, charismatic Republican comes along (and I'll let you guess which of those fronts Romney failed on), we'll have competition in '16.

Just as Nixon did something about Muskie in '72 (although that specific method I would NOT stoop to), something should be done about Rubio.

Happy little moron, Lucky little man.

        •  Rubio is a non-starter. (0+ / 0-)

Sorry, the GOP voter has a problem nominating and/or electing a person, for President,  with a last name that ends in a vowel.  Come to think of it, I don't think they ever have.  The letter "y" does not count, but if it did, McKinley was the only one.

          See the trend?

There is no hell on earth appropriate enough for those who would promote the killing of another person, in the name of a god.

often and that brand is cooked in a Presidential election. No matter how hard Rubio tries to cast himself as the GOP Obama, there are two major strikes against him: his voting record is unappealing to the majority of Americans and there is a HUGE difference between Cubans and other Hispanics (and Obama won them both). Cubans tend to be more Conservative and the ones in the US tend to be more aligned with the 2% than the midde class. Most other Latinos do not readily accept Cubans. So Rubio is no shoo in for the Hispanic vote---by a long shot.
