  •  le sigh. Spokane's so proud of our own Sarah-lite (12+ / 0-)

That's actually a good bit of depth, coming from her.  Usually she just has a "pro-goodness / anti-badness" agenda.  She's out "working hard for the people of E WA, to "create opportunity" and "preserve freedom" in ambiguous ways.   I clicked through a DK petition link about one of those IP bills, and the canned response was literally like,

"Intellectual property is an important principle.  Free speech is also an important principle.  We'll work hard to ensure that everyone's needs are met."

    Then I started getting push-surveys:

"Is the solution to our energy crisis:

    A.)  Republican position
    B.) R position slightly restated
C.) Hyperbolic exaggeration of Dem position."

    Just.....sigh

No matter how cynical you become, it's impossible to keep up; no matter how cynical you are, you have no idea...

statement, copyrighted and everything.  If Tina Fey delivered it it would be a knee slapper.

And to thing that the Speaker of the House was from your district back in the 70s.

WA-03 (Sarah-lite-lite?).  She refuses to answer questions, she just spews generic canned platitudes.

secret from anyone except those who support her.  Her ads were nauseating - "I was born here and I work for you!"

I kept waiting for the speedy voiced disclaimer at the end.  And I live in Oregon!

So glad Jamie the Chamber Horror is no longer my representative.  She was deaf to any communication, and responded months later with canned emails.  With the new WA-10 district we have Denny Heck for rep.  Still sent email to Herrera Buetler to sign the discharge petition, just for drill...

        •  I'm glad you get to ditch useless Jaime, and thank (0+ / 0-)

you for nudging her.  Now if only our pleas weren't falling on deaf ears...

(I still have my Denny Heck sign from when he ran in the third two years ago.)

many of us long suffering Spokanites are not the least bit proud. Some of us have warned for a long time that everyone would have to suffer through her insufferableness because she is the skirt that represents skirts for repugs. I have knocked on plenty of doors to try to make a change but we are outnumbered.
My only hope at this point is that the pressure and the spotlight shining on her will make a difference in her staying power. She is the worst of the worst and groomed by Newt and Delay and Pombo and all the rest of the very worst.
We are more than thankful for Cantwell and Murray!
