    developed by a for-profit interest with a clear political and ideological agenda without parents or teachers being allowed to weigh in. Are tobacco companies now to be allowed to implement courses that teach that smoking is good for you? Are defense companies to be allowed to teach that wars are good? Are churches to be allowed to teach that the earth is 5800 years old?

    I'm talking about the lack of proper oversight of the process of developing school curriculums in which certainly outside groups should be allowed to weigh in, even ones with obvious commercial or ideological interests, but not have a say as to final decisions. Is this not what's going on here? Were I a parent of a child in these schools, I'd certainly be looking at legal remedies to this.
