    Inez Tenenbaum ran against Demint the first time he won back in 2004. She's now the head of the Consumer Product Safety Commission and was a popular Superintendent of Education. She'd have a pretty good chance at one of the Senate seats, especially if the Tea takes out Lindsay in the primary.

    Jim Rex followed Tenenbaum as Super of ed. He's the last Dem elected to statewide office, but when he left in 2010 he wasn't super popular. Still a pretty decent guy.

    Sheheen will have the Gov nomination if he wants it, but if he goes for Senate look for state Reps. James Smith of Columbia or Leon Stavirikis of Charleston to take a shot at it.
