Catholic institutions do in fact impose their dogmatic dictates on patients as you mentioned above. There is also the issue of male contraception (vasectomy) - there are a number of reasons why sometimes this might be more safely done in a hospital as opposed to an office, but not in a Catholic hospital! Seeking a vasectomy even as a non-Catholic employee of a Catholic hospital gets you a referral to a competing hospital rather than getting it covered in-house. Same with getting tubes tied - the only way that happens is in the setting of having a Csection at the same time. Plan B in the ER? You're kidding, right? And the Church has enough financial depth to compete head to head with many small community hospitals, or, in many cases, to just buy them and become the sole provider in the area. It should simply be against the law to become a monopoly provider entity and refuse to provide full spectrum reproductive services.

they cannot impose their own religious beliefs on the general public.  We slid down the slippery slope, IMHO.  If they can support RC hospitals on their own dime, have at it.
