That's why I suggested the green energy stimulus and cutting the oil and coal subsidies.

Progress 365 not just a slogan a goal - 300 progressive seats in the House and 65 progressive seats in the Senate.

    •  Yeah, add High Speed Rail corridors (5+ / 0-)

and feeder lines, urban and suburban lightrail, high density village/cluster suburbs and a 10 cent tax on plastic bags.
Urban wind farms, wide-spread local solar and conservation technology incentives (insulation, window upgrades, efficient HVAC, geo thermal, et cetera).
If you want to get real creative, curbside compost pickup, municipal composting and urban farming incentives.

If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!

with Berkeley Nat Labs studying the cost, wind is 3.3 to 6.5 cent per kwhr. Cheapest for be generation.

And with the Atlantic Wind Connection slated to start construction next year.... we see a real wind project, 370 miles of offshore HVDC cable to support 1700 turbines, 7 gigs all told.

So we need to extend the wind tax credit.... NOW
