    that you're among the very few to hold this view, not even including the nobel foundation, who seems to believe that he is, along with dr. friedman and dr. hayak.

    by the way, dr. krugman would be the first to tell you (because he has) that milton friedman is a brilliant economist. he would also be the first to tell you (because he also has) that dr. friedman's theories are wrong, in actual practice, having been proven so several times, to the detriment of several countries, including the US, via reagan.

    i would surmise that all the economics prize winners were/are brilliant economists. i would also surmise that many of their theories work better as theory than as practice, much as dr. friedman's. interestingly, adam smith recognized this, nearly 250 years ago, including it in his seminal work, The Wealth of Nations, a tome that i seem to be one of the few people to have actually read it. this probably explains some of the strange looks i get. the rest are unexplainable.
