  •  i hope they DO nominate jeb in 2016 -- it means a (6+ / 0-)

democrat will occupy the wh for another term  :)

the last thing most voters want is another bush as prez.  besides being tired of the name, it's a reminder of how gw trashed the economy during his reign, & who in their right mind wants a repeat of that!

it's the same problem the r's have with anyone who has the last name cheney (i'm talkin' 'bout YOU, liz!) -- cheney = WAR -- & the fact that everything a cheney touches automatically turns to shit.

it should serve as a warning to any d's eager to nominate hillary, too.  there's a good reason kkkarl rove's favorite wet dream is running a campaign against someone named clinton.  he knows he can beat them.

    •  I totally agree the Democrat is not Hillary (4+ / 0-)

I love Hillary and I appreciate her work. the same arguments about bloodlines apply to the Clintons as they do to the Bushes. I switched from Hillary to Barack for the simple fact that I didn't want dynastic presidencies to become a way of goverment in this land.

Hillary vs. Jeb, no way, no how.

      •  that was the same reason my husband gave for (3+ / 0-)

not wanting to vote for hillary in 2008 -- "no more clintons," he said.

i, too, switched from hillary to obama, but it wasn't b/c of the dynasty-thing -- it was bill's decision to use racial dog whistles, like he did before nh & especially after sc.  i was shocked when he did it, & when hillary didn't rebuke him about it, that made up my mind.  anyone who stooped to that wasn't worth putting in the wh.

      •  Right now, Hillary would be a lock to win. (1+ / 0-)

I don't think there's any denying that Hillary has the best shot of winning the presidency. She's not perfect, but I'd definitely be comfortable with her in the white house.
