    I left West Point myself after a year and a half, and even with that little time spent, I was an academic senior after one more term at community college. He'll have enough credits to graduate, even though he'll probably have to fill in requirements or spend a couple terms filling in his major.

    If his grade point is even half decent, he'll be recruited much like an athlete by schools that want his proven academic prowess. I was, and I had a 2.5 when I left.

    I'm happy for him. I hope he gets help with that depression, and that he's able to relax and just go to college (as much as a guy who's used to PT at 5:30am and breakfast at 6am, can).

    And no, roving gangs of proselytizing fundies were not acceptable and were extremely rare in my Corps. We had real chains of command and officers who knew how to issue Army Disciplinary Form 2-1 for that kind of bullshit.
