    ...doubts about linking my lovely, new HP H8-1230, with the big, ole 3 Terabyte drive full of thousands of images to a Russian site...PCs aren't virus-proof like Macs!

      but for now every virus they find seems to need a human helping hand to cause Mac havoc. I have read recently that there are signs Apple will eventually transition their computers to a future version of the chips that run their mobile systems, which would put them out ahead of viruses again I suppose.

      When I worked in Russia, our internet link used a phone line that was monitored by the security team of the uranium enrichment plant we worked at (on this program if I haven't mentioned it before). We never had any trouble from them, but I downloaded a gif or jpg or something of a UAZ vehicle (the ones that look like a rotund version of the VW Transporter) that the MacAfee security software got all exercised about. Actually there was one incident, one of my co-workers found that his online banking password had been changed just to show us they were watching. lol.
