    'em. :) and make the sacrifice to risk their lives.

    But for those "leaders" who make this possible:

    Oil keeps flowing, chemical weapons held by despots stay underground, and we don't get invaded by foreign armies as often as we did before we had the good stuff.
    For those leaders, American and the leaders of other developed nations, it seems to me they had other choices than to prop up the despots who played ball with Big Oil and took their cut of the loot and stashed the chemical weapons.

    We lived in fear of those terrible despots only to find out now that the people living in those energy rich countries are not so different from us.

    Do you think perhaps that it is thanks to the internet that we now see so much in common among people from all over the world and that there are people, young people, willing to peacefully demonstrate all over the world in solidarity with other average people all over the world so that perhaps now, the young people who serve our country in the armed forces will not be sent into harms way unless it is as a last resort?
