    That's why there are Right to Work states.  And unions do charge those fees, they're called union dues.

        •  It would be a contractor. Management would likely (0+ / 0-)

          be within their rights to refuse, specifically, to hire these contractor-union workers since they cost more.  The "Union" would become its own poison pill, since members wouldn't be able to get work.

          A self-defeating principle.
