  •  I spent election eve with my wingnut mom (3+ / 0-)

in Washington D.C. We were there for a special family event. I knew the election results that night via cell phone.

The next morning my Fox loving mother said "let's put on the TV." I said "let's not", as it was a really special day for my cousin who was being sworn in as an Ambassador at The State Department.

My mother who was as hypnotized by Fox "noise" as was Karl Rove believing Romney's win was imminent said to me "what? are you afraid to learn the truth? You afraid to look" in her taunting way, Because she was convinced by her TV station That Romney would win, I just said "no... this is a special day." Not wanting her to be devastated by President Obama's winning the election.

She turned on Fox anyway and said "oh well, I'll be dead for the next election." I felt really sorry for her.

"Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Matthew 5:11
