The Clintons are unprincipled right wingers, not sure why they get so much leeway for NAFTA and the pro Iraq war vote.  I'd say maybe half the liberals I know generally don't like her.  Only way she'd get a huge landslide is if a loon like Rand Paul faces her.  I'm more afraid of her getting nominated then blowing it

      generally like Hillary'.

I WILL say that she seems to be either liked or disliked very passionately.

I happen to be one of those who did not like her as the candidate in 08. And I never forgave NPR for being so pro-Hillary and blatantly anti-Obama.

I have not followed her term as SoS very closely, but from all accounts she has done a great job.

I am very grateful for the time she has given and the job she has done for her country.

      But,

I do not want her to run in 2016.

      We need fresh.

A good way to lose in 2016 would be to offer her up, against a young hot-shot handsome repug. Looks count. Superficiality is king in this country. Some people vote for less than logical reasons (REALLY?????) (like some of my gal friends who thought Saran Palin was the bees-knees because she was so fresh and young and cute and 'real').

Hillary's favorables will have improved and her negatives will have dropped sharply from where they were in Nov '08. I personally don't think she will run in 2016, but she has gained much bi-partisan support for her role as SoS and would be the clear front runner if she decided to run.

      •  Why her popularity increased? Because she is out (2+ / 0-)

of politics, she is the SoS and SoS are usually popular i.e Powell, even Condi Rice managed to remain the most popular cabinet member of W's impopular cabinet.

People here on Daily Kos generally don't like Hillary. The rest of the country seems to like her a lot.
