    on Wall Street (and one higher on derivatives and other speculative instruments); plus, the ability of the sovereign government to issue its own currency, are added to the picture...

    the debt could be solved very easily. Heck, with a high enough transaction tax, the debt could be solved AND taxes for average people could be greatly reduced AND medicare and social security could be expanded.

    Ain't it funny how in our democracy, democratic outcomes rarely ensue; and when they do they are often burdened and strangled with all manner of caveats.

    The Internet is just the tail of the Corporate Media dog.
