    That applies to name brand drugs. Generics are a different story.

      ... i've long suspected there are "incentives" for doctors to use their prescription pads to excess.  Just a few short years ago, i went to a general practitioner with complaints of a nasal blockage and synkenesis on one side of my face.  After our 12 minute appointment (she said i probably had a neurological disorder that would have to be discussed in a follow up), i left with a prescription to treat Rosacea (my complexion was, and is, just fine).

      I didn't fill that prescription, and never went back to that doctor.  And for the record, what i actually had was a hole in my skull through which a sack of leaking spinal fluid had fallen.  I wrote about it here:  And let me say again, my complexion was just fine ...
