  •  So ignorant, that Alan Simpson... (0+ / 0-)

As our own 'cauznfx' points out in his recent diary, Psy of 'Gangnam Dance' fame has apparently been using rabidly anti-American lyrics in his songs for years.

    •  Why do you fall (0+ / 0-)

for right-wing propaganda? Anytime any foreigner says anything nasty about any American, they yell "Anti-American!". Psy participated in a rap song in 2004 denouncing the Abu Ghraib torturers in drastic terms (calling for the blood of the torturers, their commanders, and their families -- in American hip-hop's best tradition of rhetorical excess, I should note). That's not anti-American, and his apology should have been the end of the story. But the Right doesn't want to remember Abu Ghraib, and Psy was about to perform in front of President Obama (he did so yesterday), so they started to shout "Anti-American!", and here we are now.

(BTW, in the international media, the one rag that pushes this same spin is the UK's Daily Mail, nicknamed Daily Hate, the infamous tabloid that supported Hitler and still has a story about nasty non-whites every day.)

      •  Beause I read some of the lyrics on this site? (0+ / 0-)

And I disagree with 'American hip hop's best tradition'.

People calling for additional killing are wrong in my books, no matter how 'traditional' it might be, or how much they might claim artistic license.  The guy lost any potential right to respect I might have had by penning his paean to death.

Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers
Kill them all slowly and painfully.
There's nothing good there.  Either he's simply whoring himself for cash from America haters, or he believes that crap.  You want to call that Right Wing propaganda, that's your prerogative.  He was deliberately advocating mass murder of people who had the bad luck to be related to bad people.   That's no better than the apologists here who say that Alakwi's son deserved to die simply because he was related to drone strike target.
