    but, no.  Obama is the duly elected President of these here United States.  He will not, and should not, ever take into account stupidity and racism in executing the duties of the President.

      because neither the scenario nor my suggested response is going to happen, but Obama takes into account the stupidity and racism of the extreme right every single day, and it affects his decisions. Why would this situation be different? Wouldn't it be the kind of cool rational move that characterizes him?

      To paraphrase Kurt Vonnegut: Pure joy is waking up one morning to realize that your high school class will NOT be running the country for the next four years.

        I didn't express what I meant very well.

        Obama does take teh stoopid into account - he has to as a politician, and does it very well.

        I guess what I was trying to say was more that he should not resign and have the 'popular white guy' put down the insurrection, so as to not piss off the very people doing the revolting. Just because a bunch of bigots' head would explode if a black president quashed a white insurrection is no reason to pander to their racism. Fuck 'em, grab some paper towels, wipe up the brains and move on.
