What Michael Bay produces is nothing more than a continuous stream of incoherent jump cuts masquerading as 'action', interspersed with sorry, sophomoric depictions of wood interacting.

But you know what? Don't take my word for it. I highly recommend watching the car chase sequence from "The Rock" and attempt to answer the following questions:

    1. How far apart are the two lead characters?
    2. Where did they come from, and where are they going?
    3. What happened to the tram driver at the end?
    4. Why the hell do people enjoy this? :/

some movies tend to be less than realistic in their depictions of things that are mundane in meatspace...

in other news, water is wet...

Fear doesn't just breed incomprehension. It also breeds a spiteful, resentful hate of anyone and everyone who is in any way different from you.

FWIW, I use the term 'bi-ethnic' rather than 'bi-racial' as it is far more accurate... on this 3rd rock from the sun there is one and only one race... human... and IMO using 'biracial' perpetuates a bigoted meme and boils down to the idea that "humanity" is restricted to only those of european extraction...

I make no complaint about the the level of realism (or lack thereof) inherent in Michael Bay's work.

Rather, I am asserting that the man's directorial style is one that assaults the viewer with a barrage of visual, audial and narrative chaos, creating the impression of excitement, rather than excitement itself.

This is not merely a matter of style over substance; it is rapid-fire discord offered as a substitute to both style and substance.
