But, laws vary by state -- in my state, I have to make people aware of my wishes by, for instance, posting a sign informing them that they are not welcome to carry a legally-possessed and -concealed weapon into my home.

The responsibility rests upon me, as the homeowner, to make such wishes known -- there is no assumption that such is not welcome, as you describe.

Personally, I don't bother with such a sign and simply do not invite anyone into my home that I don't trust enough to expect them to act within the law.

    Simple, no?

Yes, I often dress as a pirate. Your point?

some of the RKBA comments, KV up there is one of the most vocal about "no one ever knows I'm carrying".  I won't go look for it, but he challenged another poster to know he had a gun....a long discussion followed on where to carry it so no one knows...shoulder holsters, belt holsters, blah, blah, blah.

SC law says you may not carry a handgun into my home or onto my property without the consent of the legal owner.  Concealed, on your head, in a box, or a paper bag.  You can not legally do it unless I tell you you can.

It's a great law and puts all the power into the homeowner's hands with no extra effort necessary on our part.  And if the gun owner wants to get all sneaky, I can kill him/her.
